This may be apocryphal but its still a story worth telling.
Once the great artist Pablo Picasso was dining at Restuarant in Newyork. A well known Prominent Socialite being an ardent follower of his work couldnt resist the temptation to intorduce herself . She broke into a vivid description of how thrilled she was to meet him in person and how much she adored his work.Encouraged by his modest acceptance she requested ‘ Sir would you be kind enough to draw me a sketch? ‘
Picasso picked up a piece of paper and quickly sketched the passing waiters illustration.
As she reached out for the finished sketch Picasso intervened ‘ Madam, that will be 10000 $ ‘ . Shocked she said ” But that took you only 5 minutes”.
Picasso smiled and replied” No Madam it took me 50 years”.
